MOTION:BARG December 16,1997 <br />Regular Meeting <br />SECOND:CADDIGAN Ord.No.97-114 <br />RE:SPECIAL USE PERMIT #98-0013,POWELLS CREEK COMMUNITY <br />SIGNAGE PLAN (WOODBRIDGE MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT) <br />ACTION:APPROVED <br />WHEREAS,this is an application for a special use permit to allow a <br />Comprehensive Signage Plan for 25 signs identifying the Powells Creek community,located <br />approximately 0.2 mile east ofthe intersection of Powells Creek Boulevard and Jefferson Davis <br />Highway.The site is designated SRR,Semi-Rural Residential in the 1990 Comprehensive Plan <br />and is located in the Woodbridge Magisterial District;and <br />WHEREAS,staff has reviewed the subject application and recommends <br />approval as stated in their staff report prepared November 5,1997;and <br />WHEREAS,the Planning Commission held a public hearing on this item on <br />November 19,1997 and recommends approval,as stated in Res.No.97-129;and <br />WHEREAS,a public hearing,duly advertised in a local newspaper for a period <br />of two weeks,was held on December 16,1997,and interested citizens were heard;and <br />WHEREAS,general welfare and good zoning practice are served by the <br />approval of the application; <br />NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby approve Special Use Permit #98-00 13,Powells Creek <br />Community Signage Plan,subject to the conditions dated November 5,1997; <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of County <br />Supervisors’approval and adoption of any conditions does not relieve the applicant and/or <br />subsequent owners from compliance with the provisions of any applicable ordinances, <br />regulations,or adopted standards. <br />Votes: <br />Ayes:Barg,Caddigan,Hill,Jenkins,McQuigg,Seefeldt,Thompson,Wilbourn <br />Nays:None <br />Absent from Vote:None <br />Absent from Meeting:None <br />For information: <br />Acting Planning Director <br />Jason J.Jacobson <br />Osprey Property Group <br />2261 Riva Road,Building 700,Suite 2 <br />Annapolis,Maryland 21401 <br />CERTIFIED COPY ~the
