MOTION:HILL December 2,1997 <br />Regular Meeting <br />SECOND:MCQUIGG Ord.No.97-107 <br />RE:SPECIAL USE PERMIT #98-0008,CHEVY CHASE BANK AT THE <br />GLEN (COLES MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT) <br />ACTION:DENIED <br />WHEREAS,this is an application for a special use permit to change the color of <br />facade signs from white to red at a bank located northeast of the intersection of Old Bridge <br />Road and Touchstone Circle.The site is designated Community Employment Center in the <br />1990 Comprehensive Plan and is located in the Coles Magisterial District;and <br />WHEREAS,staff has reviewed the subject application and recommends <br />approval as stated in their staff report prepared October 14,1997;and <br />WHEREAS,the Planning Commission held a public hearing on this item on <br />November 5,1997 and recommends approval,as stated in Res.No.97-119;and <br />WHEREAS,a public hearing,duly advertised in a local newspaper for a period <br />of two weeks,was held on December 2,1997,and interested citizens were heard;and <br />WHEREAS,general welfare and good zoning practice are served by the <br />approval of the application; <br />NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby approve Special Use Permit #98-0008,Chevy Chase Bank at <br />The Glen,subject to the attached conditions; <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of County <br />Supervisors’approval and adoption of any conditions does not relieve the applicant and/or <br />subsequent owners from compliance with the provisions of any applicable ordinances, <br />regulations,or adopted standards. <br />ATTACHMENT:Conditions <br />Votes: <br />Ayes:Barg,Caddigan,Hill,Jenkins,McQuigg,Seefeldt,Thompson,Wilbourn <br />Nays:None <br />Absent from Vote:None <br />Absent from Meeting:None <br />For information: <br />Acting Planning Director <br />Robert F.Flmnn <br />Flinn &Beagan <br />8300 Boone Boulevard,Suite 225 <br />Vienna,Virginia 22 182-2630 <br />CERTIFIED COPY <br />Cler ty’the Boar
