MOTION:WILBOURN June 3,1997 <br />Regular Meeting <br />SECOND:BARG Ord,No.97-55 <br />RE:REZONING #97-0004,SOUTHVIEW AT PRINCE WILLIAM <br />(GAINESVILLE MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT) <br />ACTION:APPROVED AS PROFFERRED <br />WHEREAS,this is an application for the rezoning of the property known as <br />Southview at Prince William,64 acres from M-2,Light Industrial to B-i,General Business; <br />and to amend the proffers of Rezoning #91-0003 for approximately 40 acres,located at the <br />northwest quadrant of the intersection of 1-66 and Route 29 between Catharpin Road and Route <br />55.The site is designated Regional Commercial Center in the 1990 Comprehensive Plan and is <br />located in the Gainesville Magisterial District;and <br />WHEREAS,staff has reviewed the subject application and recommends denial <br />as stated in their second staff report addendum dated April 25,1997;and <br />WHEREAS,the Planning Commission held public hearings on this item on <br />January 8,1997,March 5,1997 and May 7,1997 and recommends denial,as stated in Res.No. <br />97-047;and <br />WHEREAS,a revised proffer statement was received on May 16,1997,which <br />resolves the Transportation and Regional Serving Retail issues that formed the basis for staff <br />recommendation for denial in the January 8,Mach 5 and May 7 staff reports;and <br />WHEREAS,a public hearing,duly advertised in a local newspaper for a period <br />of two weeks,was held on June 3,1997,and interested citizens were heard;and <br />WHEREAS,general welfare and good zoning practice are served by the <br />approval of the application; <br />NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby approve Rezoning #97-0004,Southview at Prince William, <br />and accepts the proffered conditions dated May 16,1997 and received by the Planning Office <br />on May 16,1997 <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Board of County Supervisors’ <br />approval and adoption of any conditions does not relieve the applicant and/or subsequent <br />owners from compliance with the provisions of any applicable ordinances,regulations,or <br />adopted standards.
