MOTION:THOMPSON June 3,1997 <br />Regular Meeting <br />SECOND:WILBOURN Ord.No.97-54 <br />RE:REZONING #97-0011,HERSCH FARM (BRENTSVILLE <br />MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT) <br />ACTION:APPROVED AS PROFFERRED <br />WHEREAS,this is an application to rezone approximately 33.6 acres from A-l, <br />Agricultural to R-10,Suburban Residential,located on the east side of Lucasville Road, <br />approximately 0.3 mile north of the intersection of Lucasville Road and Godwin Drive,in the <br />Brentsville Magisterial District;and <br />WHEREAS,staff has reviewed the subject application~~recommends <br />approval as stated in their staff report prepared March 3,1997;and <br />WHEREAS,the Planning Commission held a public hearing on this item on <br />April 3,1997,and recommends approval,as stated in Res.No.97-03 8;and <br />WHEREAS,a public hearing,duly advertised in a local newspaper for a period <br />of two weeks,was held on May 6,1997,and interested citizens were heard;and <br />WHEREAS,the Board of County Supervisors closed the public hearing and <br />deferred their decision until May 13,1997,at which time the Board of County Supervisors <br />scheduled an additional public hearing to be held on June 3,1997;and <br />WHEREAS,general welfare and good zoning practice are served by the <br />approval of the application; <br />NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby approve Rezoning #97-0011,Hersch Farm,and accepts the <br />proffers dated May 16,1997,and received by the Office of Planning on May 19,1997; <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Board of County Supervisors’ <br />approval and adoption of any conditions or proffers does not relieve the applicant and/or <br />subsequent developers from compliance with the provisions of any applicable ordinances, <br />regulations,or adopted standards.
