No. 10 -24 <br />SPECIAL USE PERMIT 9PLN2006- 00725, MALLOY HYUNDAI — <br />WOODBRIDGE MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT <br />ACTION: APPROVED <br />WHEREAS, this is a request for a special use permit to allow motor vehicle <br />sales, rental or lease (limited) and service facility in a B -1 zoning district. The site is located on <br />the west side of Jefferson Davis Highway, approximately 1,500 feet south of the intersection <br />with Opitz Boulevard. The site is identified on County maps as GPIN 8391 -25 -7903, is within <br />the Potomac Communities Revitalization Plan area, and is designated Office in the <br />Comprehensive Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the subject application and recommends denial, <br />as stated in the staff report; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its public hearing on November 18, <br />2009, recommended denial, as stated in Res. No. 09 -127; and <br />WHEREAS, a Board of County Supervisors' public hearing, duly advertised in <br />a local newspaper for a period of two weeks, for December 8, 2009, was deferred at the <br />applicant's request, to a date certain of January 12, 2010; and <br />WHEREAS, a Board of County Supervisors' public hearing for January 12, <br />2010, was deferred at the applicant's request, to date uncertain; and <br />WHEREAS, a Board of County Supervisors' public hearing, duly advertised in <br />a local newspaper for a period of two weeks, was held on May 18, 2010, and interested citizens <br />were heard; and <br />WHEREAS, general welfare and good zoning practice are served by the <br />approval of the application; <br />L <br />
