MOTION: CARDIGAN December 6, 2005 <br />Regular Meeting <br />SECOND: JENKINS Ord. No. 05-87 <br />RE: SPECIAL USE PERMIT #PLN2005-00224, MONTCLAIR <br />TABERNACLE, THE CHURCH OF GOD — DUMFRIES MAGISTERIAL <br />DISTRICT <br />ACTION: APPROVED <br />WHEREAS, this is a request to allow an existing religious institution with <br />related facilities, which is nonconforming since it doesn't have an approved special use permit, <br />to construct a 22,939 square foot building addition and parking. The site is located on the south <br />side of Dumfries Road, approximately 250 feet west of its intersection with Hide -a -Way Drive. <br />The site is identified on County maps as GPINs 8190-24-1070, 8190-24-1931, and 8190-24- <br />4070. The site is designated Agricultural or Estate in the Comprehensive Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the subject application and recommends <br />approval, as stated in the staff report; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its public hearing on October 19, <br />2005, recommended approval, as stated in Planning Commission Res. No. 05-109; and <br />WHEREAS, a Prince William Board of County Supervisors' public hearing, <br />duly advertised in a local newspaper for a period of two weeks, was held on December 6, 2005, <br />and interested citizens were heard; and <br />WHEREAS, general welfare and good zoning practice are served by the <br />approval of the application; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby approve Special Use Permit #PLN2005-00224, Montclair <br />Tabernacle, The Church of God, subject to the conditions dated November 14, 2005; <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of County <br />Supervisors' approval and adoption of any conditions does not relieve the applicant and/or <br />subsequent owners from compliance with the provisions of any applicable ordinances, <br />regulations, or adopted standards. <br />
