MOTION: BARG November 22, 2005 <br />Regular Meeting <br />SECOND: CARDIGAN Ord. No. 05-85 <br />RE: REZONING (REZ) #PLN2004-00390, DAWSON PROPERTY — <br />WOODBRIDGE MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT <br />ACTION: APPROVED <br />WHEREAS, this is a request to rezone ±4.37 acres from A-1, Agricultural, to <br />R-6, Suburban Residential, for a maximum of 11 single-family detached dwellings. The site is <br />located at the southwestern terminus of Indiana Avenue. The site is identified on County maps <br />as GPINs 8391-51-7990 and 8391-42-8911 (pt). The site is designated Suburban Residential <br />Low (SRL), Public Land (PL), and Environmental Resource (ER) in the Comprehensive Plan; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the subject application and recommends denial, <br />as stated in the staff report; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its public hearing on October 5, <br />2005, recommended denial, as stated in Planning Commission Resolution Number 05-107; and <br />WHEREAS, a Board of County Supervisors' public hearing, duly advertised in <br />a local newspaper for a period of two weeks, was held on November 1, 2005, and interested <br />citizens were heard; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Supervisors deferred action to November 22, <br />2005, to allow the applicant time to work with the Prince William County School Board to <br />resolve a storm water management issue at the Rippon Middle School and for the Department <br />of Public Works -Watershed and School Division representatives to attend the November 22, <br />2005 meeting; and <br />WHEREAS, the School Board is scheduled to meet on December 21, 2005 to <br />consider a storm water management proposal at the Rippon Middle School; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby approve REZ #PLN2004-00390, Dawson Property, subject to <br />the proffers dated November 1, 2005, and contingent upon School Board approval of the storm <br />water management proposal at the Rippon Middle School; <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Board of County Supervisors' <br />approval and adoption of any conditions does not relieve the applicant and/or subsequent <br />owners from compliance with the provisions of any applicable ordinances, regulations, or <br />adopted standards. <br />
