MOTION: COVINGTON January 4, 2005 <br />Regular Meeting <br />SECOND; NOHE Ord. No. 05-1 <br />RE: COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT #PLN2004-00194, COLLINS <br />PROPERTY - BRENTSVILLE MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT <br />ACTION: APPROVED <br />WHEREAS, under Section 15.2-2229 of the Code of Virginia, Ann., the Board <br />of County Supervisors may consider amendments to the Comprehensive Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, this is an application to amend the Comprehensive Plan desig- <br />nation for +28.9 acres from CEC, Community Employment Center, to SRL, Suburban Resi- <br />dential Low, for lots on the north side of Godwin Drive between Lucasville Road and the <br />fairgrounds access road; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the subject application and recommends <br />approval, as stated in the staff report; and <br />WHEREAS, the Prince William County Planning Commission held a public <br />hearing on this item on November 17, 2004, and recommends approval, as stated in Planning <br />Commission Resolution Number 04-124; and <br />WHEREAS, a Board of County Supervisors' public hearing, duly advertised in <br />a local newspaper for two weeks, was held on January 4, 2005, and interested parties were <br />heard; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 15.2-2229, VA Code Ann., allows amendments, supple- <br />ments, or changes to the plan whenever the public necessity, convenience, general welfare and <br />good planning practices are served; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby approve Comprehensive Plan Amendment #PLN2004-00194, <br />Collins Property; <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Board of County Supervisors' <br />approval and adoption of any conditions does not relieve the applicant and/or subsequent <br />owners from compliance with the provisions of any applicable ordinances, regulations, or <br />adopted standards_ <br />
