MOTION: BARG October 3, 2006 <br />Regular Meeting <br />SECOND: JENKINS Ord. No. 06-87 <br />RE: PROFFER AMENDMENT #PLN2005-00166, FOUR SEASONS AT <br />HISTORIC 'VIRGINIA — DUMFRIES MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT <br />ACTION: APPROVED <br />WHEREAS, this is a request for a proffer amendment to allow the conveyance <br />of 24 acres of open space to the Four Seasons at Historic Virginia Community Association, Inc. <br />rather than the Board of County Supervisors for a public park. The property would continue to <br />be used exclusively as open space. The site is located in thei: 486 -acre Four Seasons at <br />Historic Virginia subdivision on the northeast side of Dumfries Road, approximately 3/4 of a <br />mile northwest of Interstate 95. The site is identified on County maps as GPIN 8189-98- <br />1630(part), is zoned PMR, Planned Mixed Residential, with proffers, and is designated <br />Suburban Residential Medium and Environmental Resource; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the subject application and recommends <br />approval, as stated in the staff report; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its public hearing on September 6, <br />2006, recommended approval, as stated in Planning Commission Res. No. 06-131; and <br />WHEREAS, a Prince William Board of County Supervisors' public hearing, <br />duly advertised in a local newspaper for a period of two weeks, was held on October 3, 2006, <br />and interested citizens were heard; and <br />WHEREAS, general welfare and good zoning practice are served by the <br />approval of the application; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby approve PRA #PLN2005-00166, Four Seasons at Historic <br />Virginia Proffer Amendment, subject to the proffers dated October 3, 2006; <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of County <br />Supervisors' approval and adoption of any proffers does not relieve the applicant and/or <br />subsequent owners from compliance with the provisions of any applicable ordinances, <br />regulations, or adopted standards. <br />
