MOTION: STIRRUP September 19, 2006 <br />Regular Meeting <br />SECOND: STEWART Ord. No. 06-84 <br />RE: SPECIAL USE PERMIT #PLN2006-00060, SUNOCO ABOVE GROUND <br />TANK ADDITION - GAINESVILLE MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT <br />ACTION: APPROVED <br />WHEREAS, this is a request for a Special Use Permit to allow for the <br />expansion of fuel storage, wholesaling and distribution facility by installing one 3.8 million <br />gallon above ground fuel tank and one 5.2 million gallon above ground fuel tank. The site is <br />located at 10315 Balls Ford Road, and is identified as GPIN 47697-65-7482. The site is zoned <br />M-1, Heavy Industrial, and is designated FEC, Flexible Use Employment Center, in the <br />Comprehensive Pian; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the subject application and recommends <br />approval, as stated in the staff report; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on this item on <br />July 19, 2006, and recommends approval, as stated in Planning Commission Res. No. 06-122; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing, duly advertised in a local newspaper for a period <br />of two weeks, was held on September 19, 2005, and interested citizens were heard; and <br />WHEREAS, general welfare and good zoning practice are served by the <br />approval of the application; and <br />WHEREAS, the Sunoco proposal will generate additional truck traffic on Balls <br />Ford Road which could cause deterioration to this thoroughfare; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby approve Special Use Permit 4PLN2006-0060, Sunoco Above <br />Ground Tank Addition, subject to the conditions dated September 19, 2006 to include a new <br />condition numbered 9; <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of County <br />Supervisors' approval and adoption of any conditions does not relieve the applicant and/or <br />subsequent owners from compliance with the provisions of any applicable ordinances, <br />regulations, or adopted standards. <br />
