MOTION: BARG September 5, 2006 <br />Regular Meeting <br />SECOND: STEWART Ord. No. 06-76 <br />RE: CONSIDER AMENDMENTS TO COUNTY CODE SECTION 13-327 <br />PERTAINING TO REGULATIONS FOR PARKING COMMERCIAL <br />VEHICLES IN RESIDENCE DISTRICTS <br />ACTION: APPROVED <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Supervisors has made community <br />maintenance a priority concern in residential neighborhoods throughout Prince William <br />County; and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 13 of the County Code governs the parking of vehicles on <br />state roads in Prince William County; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Supervisors has received numerous <br />complaints about reduced parking availability in residential neighborhoods due to commercial <br />vehicle and trailer parking; and <br />WHEREAS, the Prince William Board of County Supervisors held a public <br />hearing on September 5 to hear citizen comments; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby pass the attached ordinance to prohibit parking of certain <br />commercial vehicles and trailers in residence districts. <br />ATTACHMENT: Ordinance Section 13-327 of the County Code <br />Votes: <br />Ayes:Barg, Caddigan, Covington, Jenkins, Stewart, Stirrup <br />Nays: None <br />Absent from Vote: Connaughton <br />Absent from Meeting: None <br />Abstain from Vote: Nohe <br />For Information: <br />Director of Public Works <br />Neighborhood Services <br />Police Department <br />CERTIFIED COPY •J <br />ler to the <br />
