MOTION: COVINGTON <br />SECOND: BARG <br />March 21, 2006 <br />Regular Meeting <br />Ord. No. 06-34 <br />RE: REZONING #PLN2005-00374, WALKER'S STATION - BRENTSVH LE <br />MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT <br />ACTION: APPROVED <br />WHEREAS, this is a request to rezone +/- 40.2 acres from M-2, Light <br />Industrial, to PMR, Planned Mixed Residential High, for the development of a maximum 355 <br />dwelling units. The site is located on the west side of Manassas Drive, approximately 500 feet <br />west and south of its intersection with the Norfolk Southern Railroad and is identified as GPIN <br />7896-31-5342. The site is designated Flexible Use Employmcnt Ccntcr (FEC) and <br />Environmental Resource (ER) in the Comprehensive Plan and is proposed to be re -planned <br />Suburban Residential High (SRH) and Environmental Resource (ER) with the companion CPA <br />#PLN2005-00252; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the subject application and recommends <br />approval as stated in the staff report; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on this item on <br />February 15, 2006, and recommends denial as stated in Planning Commission Res. No. 06-040; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, a Prince William Board of County Supervisors' public hearing, <br />duly advertised in a local newspaper for a period of two weeks, was held on March 21, 2006, <br />and interested citizens were heard; and <br />WHEREAS, general welfare and good zoning practice are served by the <br />approval of the application; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby approve Rezoning #PLN2005-00374, Walker's Station, <br />subject to the proffers dated March 14, 2006; <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of County <br />Supervisors' approval and adoption of any conditions does not relieve the applicant and/or <br />subsequent owners from compliance with the provisions of any applicable ordinances, <br />regulations, or adopted standards. <br />
