MOTION: LAWSON December 13, 2016 <br />Regular Meeting <br />SECOND: CANDLAND Ord. No. 16-51 <br />RE: SPECIAL USE PERMIT #SUP2017-00002, CHRIS JOHNSON — <br />GUNSMITHING HOME BUSINESS — BRENTSVILLE MAGISTERIAL <br />DISTRICT <br />ACTION: APPROVED <br />WHEREAS, this is a request for a Special Use Permit (SUP) to allow a <br />gunsmithing home business in a single-family detached dwelling unit in the Residential <br />Planned Community (RPC), zoning district; and <br />WHEREAS, the site is located ±230 feet to the northeast of the Fife Ness <br />Court and Cairn Mountain Way intersection. The property is identified on County maps as <br />GPIN 7595-03-1115; and <br />WHEREAS, the site is designated RPC in the Comprehensive Plan, and is <br />zoned RPC; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the subject application and recommends <br />approval as stated in the staff report; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its public hearing on <br />November 2, 2016, recommended approval as stated in Planning Commission Resolution <br />Number 16-064; and <br />WHEREAS, a Board of County Supervisors' public hearing, duly advertised in <br />a local newspaper for a period of two weeks, was held on December 13, 2016, and interested <br />citizens were heard; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board finds that public necessity, convenience, general welfare <br />and good zoning practice are served by the approval of the application; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby approve Special Use Permit #SUP2017-00002, Chris <br />Johnson — Gunsmithing Home Business, subject to the conditions dated November 23, 2016; <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of County <br />Supervisors' approval and adoption of any conditions does not relieve the applicant and/or <br />subsequent owners from compliance with the provisions of any applicable ordinances, <br />regulations or adopted standards. <br />
