MOTION: ANDERSON November 22, 2016 <br />Regular Meeting <br />SECOND: NOHE Ord. No. 16-47 <br />RE: SPECIAL USE PERMIT #SUP2016-00028, UNITED METHODIST <br />CHURCH — WESTRIDGE COMMUNITY SIGN — OCCOQUAN <br />MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT <br />ACTION: APPROVED <br />WHEREAS, this is a request to modify an existing community sign to include <br />an electronic changeable copy sign; and <br />WHEREAS, the site is located at the intersection of Westridge Dr. and Old <br />Bridge Road, and is f .223 miles east of the Touchstone Cl. and Old Bridge Road. The property <br />is identified on county maps as GPIN #8193-71-3899 (portion); and <br />WHEREAS, the site is zoned R-6, Suburban Residential, and is designated <br />SRL, Suburban Residential Low, in the Comprehensive Plan. The site is located in the Old <br />Bridge Road Highway Overlay District (HCOD); and <br />WHEREAS, the Prince William County Planning Commission, at its public <br />hearing on October 5, 2016, recommended approval, as stated in Planning Commission <br />Resolution No. 16-061; and <br />WHEREAS, a Board of County Supervisors' public hearing, duly advertised in <br />a local newspaper for a period of two weeks, was held on November 22, 2016, and interested <br />citizens were heard; and <br />WHEREAS, the Prince William Board of County Supervisors finds that public <br />necessity, convenience, general welfare, and good zoning practices are served by the approval <br />of this request; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby approve of Special Use Permit #SUP2016-00028, United <br />Methodist Church — Westridge Community Sign, subject to the conditions dated <br />August 29, 2016. <br />ATTACHMENT: Conditions dated August 29, 2016 <br />
