MOTION: NOHE May 17, 2016 <br />Regular Meeting <br />SECOND: CANDLAND Ord. No. 16-20 <br />RE: REZONING #REZ2016-00001, WILSONS CORNER — COLES <br />MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT <br />ACTION: APPROVED <br />WHEREAS, this is a request to rezone +/- 2.0 acres from A-1, Agricultural and <br />R-4, Suburban Residential to R-4, Suburban Residential, to allow a total of three single-family <br />detached dwelling units; and <br />WHEREAS, the site is located at 8109 Signal Hill Road on the south side of <br />Signal Hill Road and east of Janet Rose Court; and is identified on County maps as GPIN <br />7895-37-2724; and <br />WHEREAS, the site is designated SRL, Suburban Residential Low, in the <br />Comprehensive Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the subject application and recommends <br />approval as stated in the staff report; and <br />WHEREAS, the Prince William County Planning Commission, at its public <br />hearing on April 20, 2016, recommended approval as stated in Planning Commission <br />Resolution Number 16-026; and <br />WHEREAS, a Board of County Supervisors' public hearing, duly advertised in <br />a local newspaper for a period of two weeks, was held on May 17, 2016 and interested citizens <br />were heard; and <br />WHEREAS, the Prince William Board of County Supervisors finds that public <br />necessity, convenience, general welfare and good zoning practices are served by the approval <br />of this request; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby approve Rezoning #REZ2016-00001, Wilsons Corner, subject <br />to the proffers dated March 28, 2016; <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of County <br />Supervisors' approval and adoption of any proffered conditions does not relieve the applicant <br />and/or subsequent owners from compliance with the provisions of any applicable ordinances, <br />regulations or adopted standards. <br />
