MOTION: LAWSON <br />SECOND: CANDLAND <br />F014M <br />ACTION: <br />May 17, 2016 <br />Regular Meeting <br />Ord. No. 16-18 <br />SPECIAL USE PERMIT #SUP2016-00013, RENAISSANCE <br />MONTESSORI SCHOOL — BRENTSVILLE MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT <br />APPROVED <br />WHEREAS, this is a request for a special use permit to allow a private school <br />with a child care facility for a maximum of 300 students in the existing buildings of the former <br />Nokesville Elementary School; and <br />WHEREAS, the subject site is located at 12625 Fitzwater Drive on the south <br />side of Fitzwater Drive, approximately 800 feet west of its intersection with Aden Road; and <br />is identified on County maps as GPIN #7493-77-4026; and <br />WHEREAS, the site is zoned A-1, Agricultural, without proffers, and is <br />designated as PL, Public Land, in the Comprehensive Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the subject application and recommends <br />approval as stated in the staff report; and <br />WHEREAS, the Prince William County Planning Commission, at its public <br />hearing on April 20, 2016, recommended approval as stated in Planning Commission <br />Resolution Number 16-027; and <br />WHEREAS, a Board of County Supervisors' public hearing, duly advertised in <br />a local newspaper for a period of two weeks, was held on May 17, 2016, and interested citizens <br />were heard; and <br />WHEREAS, the Prince William Board of County Supervisors finds that public <br />necessity, convenience, general welfare and good zoning practices are served by the approval <br />of this request; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby approve Special Use Permit 4SUP2016-00013, Renaissance <br />Montessori School, subject to the conditions dated April 21, 2016; <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of County <br />Supervisors' approval and adoption of any conditions does not relieve the applicant and/or <br />subsequent owners from compliance with the provisions of any applicable ordinances, <br />regulations or adopted standards. <br />
