MOTION: NOHE <br />SECOND: PRINCIPI <br />April 5, 2016 <br />Regular Meeting <br />Ord. No. 16-15 <br />RE: REZONING AND PROFFER AMENDMENT #REZ2016-00003, GRANT <br />AVENUE ASSEMBLAGE — ADDITION — COLES MAGISTERIAL <br />DISTRICT <br />ACTION: APPROVED <br />WHEREAS, this is request to amend the proffered conditions of Rezoning <br />#PLN2014-00187, to add five lots for the development of 28 additional single-family detached <br />homes for a total of 84 homes and to rezone ±19.99 acres from A-1, Agricultural, to PMR, <br />Planned Mixed Residential; and <br />WHEREAS, the total 40.82 -acre site is located south and east of the <br />intersection of Old Dominion Drive and Grant Avenue and is identified on County maps as <br />GPIN #7794-99-8855, 7794-99-6615, 7794-99-4082, 7794-89-9709, 7794-99-6287, 7794- <br />88 -4655,7794-99-9491,7794-88-9291,7794-88-9469,7794-98-5362 and 7794-99-0331; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the site is designated SRL, Suburban Residential Low, ER, <br />Environmental Resource, and CEC, Community Employment Center, with a Comprehensive <br />Plan Amendment (#PLN2014-00207, Sheridan Lane) currently being processed to change a <br />portion of the site that is designated CEC to SRM in the Comprehensive Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the subject application and recommends <br />approval as stated in the staff report; and <br />WHEREAS, the Prince William County Planning Commission, at its public <br />hearing on February 17, 2016, recommended approval as stated in Resolution Number 16-011; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, a Board of County Supervisors' public hearing, duly advertised in <br />a local newspaper for a period of two weeks, was held on April 5, 2016 and interested citizens <br />were heard; and <br />WHEREAS, the Prince William Board of County Supervisors finds that public <br />necessity, convenience, general welfare and good zoning practices are served by the approval <br />of this request; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby approve #REZ2016-00003, Grant Avenue Assemblage — <br />Addition, subject to the proffers dated March 17, 2016; <br />
