MOTION: NOHE April 5, 2016 <br />Regular Meeting <br />SECOND: PRINCIPI Ord. No. 16-14 <br />RE: REZONING AND PROFFER AMENDMENT #REZ2016-00002, NEW <br />DOMINION SQUARE — 2 N ADDITION — COLES MAGISTERIAL <br />DISTRICT <br />ACTION: APPROVED <br />WHEREAS, this is a request to amend the proffered conditions of Rezoning <br />#PLN2015-00057 to modify site access on to Grant Avenue; add 40 residential units; <br />incorporate additional land area that was previously included in Grant Avenue Assemblage; <br />and change the zoning category of±1.39 acres from A-1, Agricultural, to PMR, Planned Mixed <br />Residential; and <br />WHEREAS, the total 43.23 -acre site is located on the south side of Old <br />Dominion Drive, approximately 900 feet east of the intersection of Old Dominion Drive and <br />Dumfries Road; and <br />WHEREAS, the site is designated SRM, Suburban Residential Medium, ER, <br />Environmental Resource, and CEC, Community Employment Center, with a Comprehensive <br />Plan Amendment (#PLN2014-00207, Sheridan Lane) currently being processed to change a <br />portion of the site that is designated CEC to SRM in the Comprehensive Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the subject application and recommends <br />approval as stated in the staff report; and <br />WHEREAS, the Prince William County Planning Commission, at its public <br />hearing on March 16, 2016, recommended approval, as stated in Planning Commission <br />Resolution Number 16-019; and <br />WHEREAS, a Board of County Supervisors' public hearing, duly advertised in <br />a local newspaper for a period of two weeks, was held on April 5, 2016 and interested citizens <br />were heard; and <br />WHEREAS, the Prince William Board of County Supervisors finds that public <br />necessity, convenience, general welfare and good zoning practices are served by the approval <br />of this request; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby approve #REZ2016-00002, New Dominion Square — 2"d <br />Addition, subject to the proffers dated March 17, 2016; <br />
