MOTION: PRINCIPI March 15, 2016 <br />Regular Meeting <br />SECOND: JENKINS Ord. No. 16-10 <br />RE: SPECIAL USE PERMIT #SUP2016-00012, TRINITY TEMPLE CHURCH <br />— WOODBRIDGE MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT <br />ACTION: APPROVED <br />WHEREAS, this is a request for a special use permit renewal to allow an <br />existing religious institution use with related facilities and a proposed child care/pre-school use; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the previous special use permit (SUP) request (SUP2015- <br />20000) was approved by the Board of County Supervisors on August 4, 2015 for the same <br />uses proposed with this current SUP renewal request. SUP2015-20000 is now void; and <br />WHEREAS, the site is located at 13403 Baxter Street, which is approx. 250 <br />feet northwest of the intersection of Baxter Street and G Street. The site is identified on <br />County maps as GPIN #8392-66-4551, 8392-66-5432, 8392-66-4953, 8392-66-5655 and <br />8392-66-5935; and <br />WHEREAS, the majority of the site is designated SRL, Suburban Residential <br />Low, in the Comprehensive Plan, while a small portion of the site is designated ER, <br />Environmental Resource. The site is located in the Development Area of the County and is <br />located within the Potomac Communities Revitalization Plan. The site is zoned R-4, <br />Suburban Residential; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the subject application and recommends <br />approval, as stated in the staff report; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its public hearing on <br />January 20, 2016, recommended approval, as stated in Planning Commission Resolution <br />Number 16-002; and <br />WHEREAS, a Board of County Supervisors' public hearing, duly advertised in <br />a local newspaper for a period of two weeks, was scheduled for February 23, 2016. Prior to the <br />public hearing, the applicant submitted a letter requesting the Board to defer the case. At the <br />February 23, 2016 meeting, the Board of County Supervisors deferred action to a date certain <br />of March 15, 2016; and <br />WHEREAS, a Board of County Supervisors' public hearing, duly advertised in <br />a local newspaper for a period of two weeks, was held on March 15, 2016, and interested <br />citizens were heard; and <br />
