MOTION:THOMPSON January 7,1997 <br />Regular Meeting <br />SECOND:CADDIGAN Ord,No,97-4 <br />RE:REZONING #96-0036,7-ELEVEN AT PURCELL ROAD <br />(BRENTSYILLE MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT) <br />ACTION:APPROVED AS PROFFERED <br />WHEREAS,this is a request to rezone 4.6 acres from A-i,Agricultural and <br />SRR-1,Semi-Rural Residential to B-2,Neighborhood Commercial.The rezoning will allow the <br />reuse of an existing “7-Eleven”store with retail motor vehicle fuel sales (on 1.5 acres)and allow <br />a new quick-service food store (on 1.2 acres)to be built at the proposed intersection of <br />realigned Purcell Road with Dumfiies Road,The site is located on the east side of Purcell Road <br />at its intersection with Dumfries Road,in the Brentsville Magisterial District;and <br />WHEREAS,staff has reviewed the subject application and recommends <br />approval as stated in their staff report prepared November 6,1996;and <br />WHEREAS,the Planning Commission held a public hearing on this item on <br />November 20,1996,and recommended approval as stated in Res.No.96-143;and <br />WHEREAS,a public hearing,duly advertised in a local newspaper for a period <br />of two weeks,was held on January 7,1997,and interested citizens were heard;and <br />WHEREAS,general welfare and good zoning practice are served by the <br />approval of the application; <br />NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby approve Rezoning #96-003 6,7-Eleven at Purcell Road,and <br />accepts the proffers dated September 11,1996 and revised December 5,1996; <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Board of County Supervisors’ <br />approval and adoption of any proffers does not relieve the applicant and/or subsequent <br />developers from compliance with the provisions of any applicable ordinances,regulations,or <br />adopted standards. <br />Votes: <br />Ayes:Barg,Caddigan,Hill,Jenkins,McQuigg,Seefeldt,Thompson,Wilbourn <br />Nays:None <br />Absent from Vote:None <br />Absent from Meeting:None <br />For information: <br />Acting Planning Director <br />Mr.Michael R.Vanderpool,Esquire <br />Vanderpool,Frostick &Massey P.C. <br />9300 Grant Avenue,Suite 301 <br />CERTIFIED COPY 22110 <br />Cl rk othe Board
