MOTION:BARG December 16,1997 <br />Regular Meeting <br />SECOND:HILL Ord.No.97-1 12 <br />RE:SPECIAL USE PERMIT #97-0034,CHEVY CHASE BANK AT OPITZ <br />BOULEVARD (WOODBRIDGE MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT) <br />ACTION:APPROVED WITH MODIFIED CONDITIONS <br />WHEREAS,this is an application for a special use permit to allow a 3,036 <br />square-foot financial institution with two drive-through service lanes,located on a pad site in <br />the Market at Opitz shopping center,on the south side of Opitz Boulevard,approximately 0.2 <br />mile west of its intersection with Jefferson Davis Highway.The site is designated CC, <br />Community Commercial Center in the 1990 Comprehensive Plan and is located in the <br />Woodbridge Magisterial District;and <br />WHEREAS,staff has reviewed the subject application and recommends <br />approval as stated in their staff report prepared November 5,1997;and <br />WHEREAS,the Planning Commission held a public hearing on this item on <br />November 19,1997 and recommends approval,as stated in Res.No.97-127;and <br />WHEREAS,a public hearing,duly advertised in a local newspaper for a period <br />of two weeks,was held on December 16,1997,and interested citizens were heard;and <br />WHEREAS,general welfare and good zoning practice are served by the <br />approval of the application; <br />NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby approve Special Use Permit #97-0034,Chevy Chase Bank at <br />Opitz Boulevard,subject to the conditions dated November 25,1997,with the following <br />revision: <br />Add Condition #11 requiring $1,000 toward the beautification of Route 1; <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of County <br />Supervisors’approval and adoption of any conditions does not relieve the applicant and/or <br />subsequent owners from compliance with the provisions of any applicable ordinances, <br />regulations,or adopted standards. <br />Votes: <br />Ayes:Barg,Caddigan,Hill,Jenkins,McQuigg,Seefeldt,Thompson,Wilbourn <br />Nays:None <br />Absent from Vote:None <br />Absent from Meeting:None <br />For information: <br />Acting Planning Director <br />Robert F.Flmnn <br />Flinn &Beagan <br />8300 Boone Boulevard,Suite 225 <br />Vienna,Virginia 22182 <br />CERTIFIED COPY Clerk to th~Board ‘~~“
