MOTION:THOMPSON October 7,1997 <br />Regular Meeting <br />SECOND:WILBOURN Ord.No.97-93 <br />RE:REZONING #97-0035,SUPERIOR PAVING (BRENTSVILLE <br />MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT) <br />ACTION:APPROVED AS PROFFERED <br />WHEREAS,this is a request to rezone 3.8 acres from M-2,Light Industrial to <br />M-1,Heavy Industrial.The applicant proposes to use the existing office and warehouse <br />structures on the site as a paving contractor’s office and shop.Manufacturing of asphalt or <br />other paving materials will not be conducted on-site.The site is located on the west side of <br />Gainsford Court,approximately 1/4 mile north of its intersection with Wellington Road,in the <br />Brentsville Magisterial District;and <br />WHEREAS,staff has reviewed the subject application and recommends <br />approval as stated in their staff report prepared August 19,1997;and <br />WHEREAS,the Planning Commission held a public hearing on this item on <br />September 3,1997,and recommended approval as stated in Res.No.97-90;and <br />WHEREAS,a public hearing,duly advertised in a local newspaper for a period <br />of two weeks,was held on October 7,1997,and interested citizens were heard;and <br />WHEREAS,general welfare and good zoning practice are served by the <br />approval of the application; <br />NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby approve Rezoning #97-003 5,Superior Paving,and accepts the <br />proffers dated August 19,1997; <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of County <br />Supervisors’approval and adoption of any proffers does not relieve the applicant and/or <br />subsequent developers from compliance with the provisions of any applicable ordinances, <br />regulations,or adopted standards. <br />Votes: <br />Ayes:Barg,Hill,Jenkins,McQuigg,Seefeldt,Thompson,Wilbourn <br />Nays:None <br />Absent from Vote:Caddigan <br />Absent from Meeting:None <br />For information: <br />Acting Planning Director <br />John H.Foote,Esquire <br />Hazel &Thomas,P.C. <br />9324 West Street,Suite 300 <br />Manassas,Virginia 20110-5144 <br />CERTIFIED COPY ~ <br />Deputy Cl to the Th~ard
