MOTION:HILL July 1,1997 <br />Regular Meeting <br />SECOND:MCQUIGG Ord.No.97-70 <br />RE:REZONING #97-0027,BRANDERMILL EXTENSION (COLES <br />MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT) <br />ACTION:APPROVED <br />WHEREAS,this is a request to rezone an existing eight-acre lot from A-i, <br />Agricultural to RR-5,Rural Residential.The applicant is proposing to construct one single- <br />family detached dwelling.The applicant is requesting a maximum of one lot and does not <br />propose to further subdivide the existing tract.The site is residual property from the residential <br />subdivision known as Brandermill,which is located directly south of the subject property.This <br />eight-acre lot is not a lawful lot in the A-i district but is the result of an unintentional illegal <br />subdivision.The subject rezoning will correct the lot size problem and make the lot conforming <br />to the RR-5 district.The site is located on the north side of Lancers Court between Brandermill <br />and Hunters Ridge subdivisions,in the Coles Magisterial District;and <br />WHEREAS,staff has reviewed the subject application and recommends <br />approval as stated in their staff report prepared May 15,1997;and <br />WHEREAS,the Planning Commission held a public hearing on this item on <br />June 4,1997,and recommended approval as stated in Res.No.97-06 1;and <br />WHEREAS,a public hearing,duly advertised in a local newspaper for a period <br />of two weeks,was held on July 1,1997,and interested citizens were heard;and <br />WHEREAS,general welfare and good zoning practice are served by the <br />approval of the application; <br />NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby approve Rezoning #97-0027,Brandermill Extension,and <br />accepts the proffers dated May 7,1997; <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Board of County Supervisors’ <br />approval and adoption of any proffers does not relieve the applicant and/or subsequent <br />developers from compliance with the provisions of any applicable ordinances,regulations,or <br />adopted standards. <br />Votes: <br />Ayes:Barg,Caddigan,Hill,McQuigg,Seefeldt,Thompson,Wilbourn <br />Nays:None <br />Absent from Vote:None <br />Absent from Meeting:Jenkins <br />For information: <br />Acting Planning Director <br />George F.Trowbridge,Jr. <br />4084 University Dr.,Suite 202 <br />Fairfax,Virginia 22030 <br />CERTIFIED COPY <br />Cler t he Boar
