MOTION:THOMPSON September 2,1997 <br />Regular Meeting <br />SECOND:HILL Ord,No.97-82 <br />RE:REZONING #97-0008,WOODBINE COMMERCIAL (BRENTSVILLE <br />MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT) <br />ACTION:APPROVED AS PROFFERED <br />WHEREAS,this is an application for a rezoning of the property known as <br />Woodbine Commercial,10.5 acres from A-l,Agricultural to B-2,Neighborhood Business, <br />located on the west side of Dumfries Road,approximately 125 feet south of its intersection with <br />Hoadly Road.The site is designated NC,Neighborhood Commercial in the 1990 <br />Comprehensive Plan and is located in the Brentsville Magisterial District;and <br />WHEREAS,staff has reviewed the subject application and recommends <br />approval as stated in their staff report addendum,dated June 25,1997;and <br />WHEREAS,the Planning Commission held public hearings on this item on <br />January 22,1997,March 19,1997 and July 16,1997 and recommends approval,as stated in <br />Res.No.97-078;and <br />WHEREAS,a public hearing,duly advertised in a local newspaper for a period <br />of two weeks,was held on September 2,1997,and interested citizens were heard;and <br />WHEREAS,general welfare and good zoning practice are served by the <br />approval of the application; <br />NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby approve Rezoning #97-0008,Woodbine Commercial,and <br />accepts the proffers dated July i,1997 and received by the Planning Office on July 2,1997; <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Board of County Supervisors’ <br />approval and adoption of any conditions does not relieve the applicant and/or subsequent <br />owners from compliance with the provisions of any applicable ordinances,regulations,or <br />adopted standards.
