No. 10 -16 <br />RE: REZONING 4PLN2009 -00414 - FERLAZZO PROPERTY - COLES <br />MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT <br />ACTION: APPROVED <br />WHEREAS, this is a request to rezone +/ -19.2 acres from A -1, Agricultural to <br />Planned Mixed Residential. The site is located in the northwest quadrant of the intersection of <br />Minnieville Road and Spriggs Road; identified as GPIN 8091 -35 -3969 (pt), is part of the <br />Minnieville Road and Spriggs Road HCOD, and is designated Semi -Rural Residential in the <br />Comprehensive Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the subject application and recommends <br />approval, as stated in the staff report; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held public hearings on this item on <br />February 3, 2010 and February 17, 2010, and recommends denial, as stated in Planning <br />Commission Res. No. 10 -036; and <br />WHEREAS, a Board of County Supervisors' public hearing, duly advertised in <br />a local newspaper for a period of two weeks, was held on April 6, 2010, and interested citizens <br />were heard; and <br />WHEREAS, general welfare and good zoning practices are served by the <br />approval of the application; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby approve Rezoning #PLN2009- 00414, Ferlazzo Property, <br />subject to proffers dated March 22, 2010; <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Board of County Supervisors' <br />approval and adoption of any proffers does not relieve the applicant and /or subsequent owners <br />from compliance with the provisions of any applicable ordinances, regulations, or adopted <br />standards. <br />
