MOTION: COVINGTON March 16, 2010 <br />Regular Meeting <br />SECOND: NOHE Ord. No. 10 -12 <br />RE: PROFFER AMENDMENT #PLN2010- 00151, MADISON CRESCENT <br />SIGN PACKAGE AMENDMENT - BRENTSVILLE MAGISTERIAL <br />DISTRICT <br />ACTION: APPROVED <br />WHEREAS, this is a request to amend the proffers of REZ #PLN2002 -00154 to <br />modify the freestanding sign height limit from 10 feet. The site is located at 7800 and 7900 <br />Crescent Park Drive, which is in the northeastern quadrant of the intersection of Route 29 and <br />Route 15. The proffer amendment site is identified on County maps as GPINS 7297 -10 -0142 <br />and 7296 -19 -2979 and is zoned Planned Mixed Use Development (PMD). The site is <br />designated Community Employment Center (CEC), and is part of the I -66 /Route 29 Sector <br />Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the subject application and recommends <br />approval, as stated in the staff report; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on this item on <br />February 3, 2010, and recommends approval, as stated in Planning Commission Res. No. 10- <br />017; and <br />WHEREAS, a Board of County Supervisors' public hearing, duly advertised in <br />a local newspaper for a period of two weeks, was held on March 16, 2010, and interested <br />citizens were heard; and <br />WHEREAS, general welfare and good zoning practice are served by the <br />approval of the application; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby approve Proffer Amendment #PLN2010- 00151, Madison <br />Crescent Sign Package Amendment, subject to the proffers dated December 4, 2009; <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Board of County Supervisors' <br />approval and adoption of any proffers does not relieve the applicant and/or subsequent owners <br />from compliance with provisions of any applicable ordinances, regulations, or adopted <br />standards. <br />
