No. 10 -11 <br />RE: SPECIAL USE PERMIT #PLN2010- 00219, WALMART — MANASSAS — <br />WALL SIGNS — BRENTSVILLE MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT <br />ACTION: APPROVED <br />WHEREAS, this is a request for a special use permit (SUP) to allow a <br />modification of the County's sign regulations to permit two additional fagade signs on an <br />existing Walmart that is attached to the Manassas Mall. The Walmart building is located <br />approximately 500 feet north of the intersection of Rixlew Lane and Ashton Avenue. The site <br />is identified on County maps as GPIN 7696 -65 -2958, is zoned B -1, General Business, and is <br />designated Regional Commercial Center in the Comprehensive Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the subject application and recommends <br />approval, as stated in the staff report; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its public hearing on February 17, <br />2010, recommended approval, as stated in Planning Commission Res. No. 10 -030; and <br />WHEREAS, a Board of County Supervisors' public hearing, duly advertised in <br />a local newspaper for a period of two weeks, was held on March 16, 2010, and interested <br />citizens were heard; and <br />WHEREAS, general welfare and good zoning practice are served by the <br />approval of the application; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby approve SUP #PLN2010- 00219, Walmart Manassas — Wall <br />Signs, subject to the conditions dated January 26, 2010; <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Board of County Supervisors' <br />approval and adoption of any conditions does not relieve the applicant and /or subsequent <br />owners from compliance with the provisions of any applicable ordinances, regulations, or <br />adopted standards. <br />
