MOTION: MAY March 16, 2010 <br />Regular Meeting <br />SECOND: JENKINS Ord. No. 10 -10 <br />RE: SPECIAL USE PERMIT #PLN2009- 00538, LAKE RIDGE PARKS AND <br />REC. CHILD CARE — OCCOQUAN MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT <br />ACTION: APPROVED <br />WHEREAS, this is a request for a Special Use Permit (SUP) to allow a child <br />care facility on a ±5.69 -acre site that is part of the Lake Ridge RPC master plan which <br />designates the property as a community center. The child care use will consist of a preschool <br />and summer day camp for up to 50 elementary school -aged children. The site is located on the <br />west side of Oakwood Drive, at the intersection of Old Bridge Road and Oakwood Drive. The <br />site is identified on County maps as GPIN 8293 -74 -1244 (part), is zoned RPC, Residential <br />Planned Community, is within the Old Bridge Road Highway Corridor Overlay District, and is <br />designated Residential Planned Community in the Comprehensive Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the subject application and recommends <br />approval, as stated in the staff report; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its public hearing on February 3, <br />2010, recommended approval, as stated in Planning Commission Res. No. 10 -016; and <br />. WHEREAS, a Board of County Supervisors' public hearing, duly advertised in <br />a local newspaper for a period of two weeks, was held on March 16, 2010, and interested <br />citizens were heard; and <br />WHEREAS, general welfare and good zoning practice are served by the <br />approval of the application; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby approve SUP #PLN2009- 00538, Lake Ridge Parks and Rec. <br />Child Care, subject to the conditions dated January 12, 2010; <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Board of County Supervisors' <br />approval and adoption of any conditions does not relieve the applicant and /or subsequent <br />owners from compliance with the provisions of any applicable ordinances, regulations, or <br />adopted standards. <br />n <br />
