MOTION:JENKINS February 11,1997 <br />Regular Meeting <br />SECOND:MCQUIGG Res.No.97-105 <br />RE:ACCEPT,BUDGET,AND APPROPRIATE $24,000 IN GRANT FUNDS <br />FROM THE COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION,ALTERNATIVE FUELS REVOLVING FUND <br />ACTION:APPROVED <br />WHEREAS,the Public Works Department,Fleet Management Division,has <br />been selected to receive a grant of up to $24,000 from the Virginia Alternative Fuels Revolving <br />Fund,to be put towards the acquisition oftwo administrative sedans to operate on liquid <br />propane gas (LPG);and <br />WHEREAS,the Prince William Board of County Supervisors has previously <br />articulated its commitment to alternative fuels in its Strategic Plan,and the Board of County <br />Supervisors approved Fleet Management’s application to the Commonwealth ofVirginia for <br />such grant finds;and <br />WHEREAS,the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Transportation has <br />submitted an Agreement for Services (#97-3)for execution by the Acting County Executive; <br />and a copy of this Agreement has been reviewed and approved as to format by the County <br />Attorney; <br />NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby accept,budget,and appropriate the grant finds of $24,000 <br />from the Virginia Alternative Fuels Revolving Fund,as shown below: <br />INDEX CODE SUBOBJECT CODE AMOUNT <br />Revenue:401315 (Vehicle 1340 (Reimbursements)$24,000 <br />Replacement) <br />Expenditure:401315 (Vehicle 7410 (Motor Vehicles-$24,000 <br />Replacement)Replacement)) <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Supervisors <br />authorizes the Acting County Executive to execute Agreement for Services #97-3 between the <br />Commonwealth ofVirginia Dept.of Transportation and Prince William County.
