MOTION:HILL April 8,1997 <br />Regular Meeting <br />SECOND:CADDIGAN Res,No.97-270 <br />RE:AUTHORIZATION TO ACQUIRE RIGHT-OF-WAY AND EASEMENTS <br />FOR YATES FORD CONNECTOR--MARION KALGREN DUVON, <br />BRENTSVILLE MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT <br />ACTION:APPROVED <br />WHEREAS,the design of the Yates Ford Connector is such that the County <br />requires approximately 3,957 square feet of fee simple property for road right-of-way,10,357 <br />square feet for permanent utility easement,4,121 square feet for permanent drainage easement, <br />and 2,950 square feet for temporary construction easement as depicted on the attached plat <br />entitled,“Plat Showing Street Dedication,and Various Easements on Lot 1 2A”,dated <br />March 10,1994,and last revised March 29,1995,and prepared by Patton,Harris,Rust & <br />Associates,across property owned by Marion Kaigren Duvon located in the Brentsville <br />Magisterial District at 6714 Davis Ford Road,Tax Map 87-16-1 2A;and <br />WHEREAS,pursuant to discussions between County staff and the property <br />owner(s),the County has offered and the property owner(s)has accepted $8,034 for the above <br />referenced right-of-way and easements.The Board has previously authorized $4,341 which has <br />been deposited with the Court;the remaining balance of $3,693,which is based on damages <br />due to lost trees and fencing that was removed,will need Board authorization;and <br />WHEREAS,staff recommends acquisition of said right-of-way and easements; <br />NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County <br />Supervisors does hereby authorize acquisition of approximately 3,957 square feet of fee simple <br />property for road right-of-way,10,357 square feet for permanent utility easement,4,121 square <br />feet for permanent drainage easement,and 2,950 square feet for temporary construction <br />easement as depicted on the plat entitled,“Plat Showing Street Dedication,and Various <br />Easements on Lot 1 2A”,dated March 10,1994,and last revised March 29,1995,and prepared <br />by Patton,Harris,Rust &Associates,across property owned by Marion Kalgren Duvon located <br />in the Brentsville Magisterial District at 6714 Davis Ford Road,Tax Map 87-l6-12A,attached <br />hereto and made a part thereof,for a purchase price of $8,034 and any other costs associated <br />with settlement from index code 400614 sub-object code 5826. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board does hereby authorize its <br />Chairman and Clerk to execute such documents necessary to effect the intent of this resolution <br />and approved as to form by the County Attorney. <br />ATTACHMENT:Tax Map 87-l6-12A
