MOTION: STEWART <br />SECOND; DARG <br />ACTION: <br />April 5, 2005 <br />Regular Meeting <br />Ord. Nn. 05-25 <br />REZONING #PLN2004-00119, TRAVERS/WOODARD PROPERTY - <br />OCCOQUAN MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT <br />APPROVED <br />WHEREAS, this is a request to rezone ±9.1 acres from A- 1, Agricultural, to <br />M-2, Light Industrial. The site is located on the northeast side of Telegraph Road, south of its <br />intersection with Prince William Parkway, and is identified on County maps as GPIN 8392-01- <br />0281. The site is designated Regional Commercial Center (RCC) and Environmental Resource <br />(ER) in the Comprehensive Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the subject application and recommends <br />approval, as stated in the staff report; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on this item on <br />February 16, 2005, and deferred action to March 2, 2005, as stated in Planning Commission <br />Res. No. 05-019; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on this item on <br />March 2, 2005, and recommends approval, as stated in Planning Commission Res. No. 05-027; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, a Board of County Supervisors' public hearing, duly advertised in <br />a local newspaper for a period of two weeks, was held on April 5, 2005, and interested citizens <br />were heard; and <br />WHEREAS, general welfare and good zoning practice are served by the <br />approval of the application; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby approve Rezoning 9PLN2004-00119, Travers/Woodard <br />Property, subject to the proffers dated March 10, 2005; <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Board of County Supervisors' <br />approval and adoption of any conditions does not relieve the applicant and/or subsequent <br />owners from compliance with the provisions of any applicable ordinances, regulations, or <br />adopted standards. <br />
