MOTION: JENKINS March 15, 2005 <br />Regular Meeting <br />SECOND: CADDIGAN Ord. No. 05-18 <br />RE: SPECIAL USE PERMIT #PLN2004-00355, SPRINGWOOD PARK <br />AUTOSPA - NEABSCO MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT <br />ACTION: APPROVED <br />WHEREAS, this is a request for a special use permit to amend a previously <br />approved motor vehicle repair use (SUP #PLN2002-00253) to permit a car wash or motor <br />vehicle repair use. The site is located on the southeast side of Golansky Boulevard, + 500 ft. <br />southwest of its intersection with Smoketown Road, and identified on County maps as GPIN <br />8292-42-0325. The site is zoned B-1, General Business, is in the PW Parkway HCOD, and is <br />designated General Commercial (GC) and Environmental Resource (ER) in the Comprehensive <br />Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the subject application and recommends <br />approval, as stated in the staff report; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on this item on <br />February 16, 2005, and recommends approval, as stated in Planning Commission Res. No. 05- <br />020; and <br />WHEREAS, a Board of County Supervisors' public hearing, duly advertised in <br />a local newspaper for a period of two weeks, was held on March 15, 2005, and interested <br />citizens were heard; and <br />WHEREAS, general welfare and good zoning practice are served by the <br />approval of the application; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby approve Special Use Permit #PLN2004-00355, Springwood <br />Park Autospa, subject to the conditions dated February 16, 2005; <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Board of County Supervisors' <br />approval and adoption of any conditions does not relieve the applicant and/or subsequent <br />owners from compliance with the provisions of any applicable ordinances, regulations, or <br />adopted standards. <br />
