MOTION: CADDIGAN <br />January 4, 2005 <br />Regular Meeting <br />SECOND: JENKINS Res. No. 05-8 <br />RE: AUTHORIZE REVISED LAND ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY <br />OWNED BY JAMES H. DUGGAN, LOCATED AT 13501 SPRIGGS <br />ROAD, GPIN 7992-75-5765, IN CONNECTION WITH THE SPRIGGS <br />ROAD PROJECT - COLES MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT <br />ACTION: APPROVED <br />WHEREAS, on June 22, 2004, the Prince William Board of County <br />Supervisors authorized land acquisition of approximately 261 square feet of land for fee simple <br />road right-of-way, 711 square feet of land for a pernianent joint utility easement, 75 square feet <br />of land for a permanent storm drainage easement and 2,024 square feet of land for a permanent <br />utility easement for Verizon from property owned by James H. Duggan located at 13501 <br />Spriggs Road, GPIN 7992-75-5765, in the Coles Magisterial District; and <br />WHEREAS, the design for construction improvements to Spriggs Road was <br />revised so that the County requires approximately 911 square feet of land for a permanent joint <br />utility easement, 75 square feet for a permanent storm drainage easement and 2,142 square feet <br />of land for a permanent utility easement for Verizon from GPLN 7992-75-5765, owned by <br />James H. Duggan, as shown on the attached plat entitled "Plat Showing Storm Drainage <br />Easement and Various Easements on the Property of James H. Duggan," dated August 19, <br />2003, revised July 2004, prepared by Dewberry and Davis, located in the Coles Magisterial <br />District at 13501 Spriggs Road, GPIN 7992-75-5765; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to discussions between County staff and the property <br />owners, $6,193 was originally offered and is the fair market value of the above -referenced <br />property; and <br />WHEREAS, the offer was not revised due to the elimination of right-of-way <br />and increase in easements; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby authorize revised land acquisition of approximately 911 square <br />feet of land for a permanent joint utility easement, 75 square feet for a permanent storm <br />drainage easement and 2,142 square feet of land for a permanent utility easement for Verizon <br />from GPIN 7992-75-5765, as shown on the attached plat entitled "Plat Showing Storm <br />Drainage Easement and Various Easements on the Property of James H. Duggan," dated August <br />19, 2003, revised July 2004, prepared by Dewberry and Davis, attached hereto and made a part <br />thereof, across property owned by James Duggan, located in the Coles Magisterial District at <br />13501 Spriggs Road, GPIN 7992-75-5765; <br />
