MOTION: CADDIGAN January 4, 2005 <br />Regular Meeting <br />SECOND: JENKINS Res. No. 05-7 <br />RE: AUTHORIZE LAND ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY OWNED BY <br />BYRON NELSON AND DANIEL SCEARCE, LOCATED AT 2685 <br />MAPLE RIDGE DRIVE, GPIN 8292-87-2135, IN CONNECTION WITH <br />THE MINNIEVILLE ROAD PROJECT - OCCOQUAN MAGISTERIAL <br />DISTRICT <br />ACTION: APPROVED <br />WHEREAS, the design for construction improvements to Minnieville Road, <br />from Old Bridge Road to Caton Hill Road, is such that the County requires approximately <br />1,590 square feet of land for a permanent utility easement for Dominion Virginia Power and <br />151 square feet of land for a temporary construction easement, owned by Byron Nelson and <br />Daniel Scearce, as shown on the attached plat entitled "Plat Showing Various Easements for the <br />Construction and Maintenance of Minnieville Road on Lot 182, Twin Oaks Farm, Section <br />Three," dated May 17, 2004, prepared by Rinker -Detwiler & Associates, located at 2685 Maple <br />Ridge Drive, GRIN 8292-87-2135, in the Occoquan Magisterial District; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to discussions between County staff and Mr. Nelson and <br />Mr. Scearce, $15,540 was offered and is the fair market value of the above -referenced property; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the property owners agreed to the offer and staff recommends <br />acquisition of the necessary easements; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby authorize settlement of 1,590 square feet of land for a <br />permanent utility easement for Dominion Virginia Power and 151 square feet of land for a <br />temporary construction easement, owned by Byron Nelson and Daniel Scearce, as shown on the <br />attached plat entitled "Plat Showing Various Easements for the Construction and Maintenance <br />of Minnieville Road on Lot 182, Twin Oaks Farm, Section Three," dated May 17, 2004, <br />prepared by Rinker -Detwiler & Associates, attached hereto and made a part thereof, of property <br />owned by Byron Nelson and Daniel Scearce, located in the Occoquan Magisterial District at <br />2685 Maple Ridge Drive, GPIN 8292-87-2135, for the purchase price of $15,540, and any other <br />costs associated with settlement from OCA 400151, Object Level 3 5826; <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Prince William Board of County <br />Supervisors does hereby authorize the Chairman of the Board and Clerk to the Board to execute <br />such documents necessary to effect the intent of this Resolution and approved as to form by the <br />County Attorney. <br />
