MOTION: JENKINS March 7, 2006 <br />Regular Meeting <br />SECOND: STEWART Ord. No. 06-24 <br />RE: PROFFER AMENDMENT #PLN2006-00006, AKRON ESTATES — <br />NEABSCO MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT <br />ACTION: APPROVED <br />WHEREAS, this is a request to amend the proffers for Rezoning #PLN2001- <br />00 13 8 to allow a reduced undisturbed buffer on the northwest boundary of Lot #1 from 25 feet <br />as proffered to a variable width of 5.95 feet to 17 feet along the northernmost 70 feet of the <br />property line, and a reduced undisturbed buffer on the southern boundary of Lot #4 from 15 <br />feet to a variable width of 12.10 feet to 15 feet along the westernmost 25 feet of the property <br />line. The site is located approximately 290 feet southeast of the intersection of Ashdale <br />Avenue and Akron Street. The site is identified on County maps as GPINs 8291-44-6756 and <br />8291-44-3862. The site is designated Regional Employment Center in the Comprehensive <br />Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the subject application and recommends <br />approval, as stated in the staff report; and <br />WHEREAS, the Plaiming Commission, at its public hearing on February 1, <br />2006, recommended approval, as stated in Planning Commission Res. No. 06-028; and <br />WHEREAS, a Prince William Board of County Supervisors' public hearing, <br />duly advertised in a local newspaper for a period of two weeks, was held on March 7, 2006, <br />and interested citizens were heard; and <br />WHEREAS, general welfare and good zoning practice are served by the <br />approval of the application; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of <br />County Supervisors does hereby approve Proffer Amendment #PLN2006-00006, Akron <br />Estates, subject to the proffers dated January 17, 2006; <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Prince William Board of County <br />Supervisors' approval and adoption of any conditions does not relieve the applicant and/or <br />subsequent owners from compliance with the provisions of any applicable ordinances, <br />regulations, or adopted standards. <br />
